Join us in running the 8th annual SoNo Half Marathon | 5K & Kids Fun Run Sunday, October 2nd, 2022 at Veterans Park.
Runners will enjoy a unique and exciting course through historic South Norwalk, along beautiful coastlines, down charming picturesque tree-lined streets, and past many of Norwalk’s notable landmarks and attractions.
Race day kicks off at 8:30 AM with the start of the half marathon, which is immediately followed by the start of the 5K race. The Kids Fun Run begins at 11:00 AM.
All participants receive awesome race swag including a high quality performance shirt, multifunctional headwear, FREE race photos, and a brag worthy finisher’s medal. 2022 Awards:
All finishers will receive a SoNo Finisher's Medal. Custom designed awards will be awarded 3 deep in each division for both the 1/2 marathon, and 5K. The top 3 overall male & female winners will receive overall awards and will be taken out of their age group (no double awards). You must be present at the awards ceremony to collect your award. Refund/Deferment Policy – Half Marathon| 5K & Kids Fun Run
NEW POLICY IMPLEMENTED IN 2021! PLEASE READ BEFORE REGISTERING.
More than 60 days before race (choice of): Deferment to next year’s race (one year only), Transfer registration to another individual, Refund minus $10 and service fee. 60 days or less before race: NO REFUNDS, TRANSFERS OR DEFERMENTS. NO EXCEPTIONS! COVID CANCELATION POLICY: In the event of a change to CDC, State, or City regulations resulting in large events to no longer be permitted, your registration will be automatically deferred to 2022. No refunds will be given. To request a refund, deferment or transfer, please email the following information to [email protected] Your full name, Race entered, Reason for refund or deferment, Daytime phone number (in case clarification is needed), Email address.
If you request a refund or deferment, you will receive an email confirming the status of the request (providing an email address is on file). Please allow up to 10 days for your request to be processed. Switching Races: You can change races up until 14 days before the event or until the event sells out. If you switch from the Half Marathon to the 5K, the difference will not be refunded. If you switch from the 5K to the Half Marathon you will be charged the difference. Corrections to your entry (spelling, age, sex, etc.) Any changes can be sent in an email to [email protected] up until October 1, 2022. Any corrections not made prior to that date must be made on race day with our race timers. Your race bib DOES NOT contain a label with your registration information. Please verify the information online and confirm spelling, age and gender prior to race day.
Severe Weather Policy
Weather forecasts are tracked before the race for heavy rain, thunder and lightning, high winds, etc. If there is a possibility of threatening weather, information will be posted on the SoNo Half web site and social media pages to alert participants of possible course changes. On race day, if the weather is severe or forecasted to become severe during the duration of the event, the race start time can change, the race can be postponed or the event can be cancelled. No Refunds will be given if the event is cancelled due to severe weather.
